Sea-sons Greetings - Holiday Card Series #15

Hey friends! Merry Christmas Eve! Today I'm bringing you the fifteenth and final installment in my 2017 Holiday Card Series, and I saved my favorite set for last. I feel in love with Waffle Flower's The SEAson the minute I laid eyes on it, and it was actually the first holiday stamp set I bought for my series this year! My brother is a diving instructor, and I knew that this would be the perfect Christmas card for him and his family.

I watercolored my images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and trimmed them out with the matching dies. Then I created a background with Distress Inks on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Finally, I added a festive strip of patterned paper from the Doodlebug Milk & Cookies 6x6 pad to tie in with Santa's hat and the candy canes.

I hope you enjoy the video! Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and don't forget to like and subscribe! It means so much!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful support this year! I truly appreciate each and every one of you. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! I'll see you in the New Year!

Lawn Fawnatics Feature + Holiday Card Series #14

Hey friends! Today I'm happy to be featured over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog with a card using one of my favorite holiday sets, Cheery Christmas combined with the Photoplay Mad 4 Plaid 6x6 pad

I colored the reindeer to look like a beautiful albino deer that lives in the woods on my street. The locals call her Olive, and they say it's lucky if you spot her! So far my hubby and sons have all seen her, but so far I've only seen pictures. I hope to spot her soon!

Isn't she lovely? All the info on how the card came together will be over on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge Blog, so I hope you'll hop over and check it out. I also have a video for Day 14 of my Holiday Card Series. Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and don't forget to like and subscribe!

Christmas Kitties - Holiday Card Series #13

Hey friends! Welcome to Day 13 of my Holiday Card Series. I'm winding down! Today I'm using the adorable Christmas Kitties by Gerda Steiner Designs. Isn't that just the cutest? I paired it with the  Doodlebug Milk & Cookies 6x6 pad, which has some fun, non-traditional Christmas colors.

The focal panel was die-cut with the MFT Stitched Square Scallop STAX, and the rest of my patterned papers were trimmed with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables and the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders which I just flipped upside down to get that nice, curved line.

I loved the combination of this image and these papers so much that I decided to make three different versions of it. Which one to you like best? I'm partial to the tuxedo cat, because he reminds me of my Great-Grandmother's cat when I was a little girl. :)

I finished things off with a little Crystal Stickles and did some fun stamping on the inside with Lawn Fawn Celery Stick ink, but I'll save that for the video. Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and don't forget to like and subscribe!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #19 + Holiday Card Series #12

Hey friends, happy Monday and welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #19! This round we are using our favorite Lawn Fawn sets, and one of my most favorites for the holidays is Baaah Humbug. I love these sweet sheep!

I colored my images with Copic markers and then added some yummy texture with a Snow Marker. It really looks like wool! I thought the Knit Picky 6x6 were the perfect patterned papers to go with this set. Talk about a match made in crafty heaven!

I die cut my focal panel with the Stitched Oval Stackables and my outer layer of patterned paper with the Outside In Stitched Rectangles, and added my sentiment with an Everyday Banner to complete my card. And I actually made two versions, one with black face sheep (my favorite) and one with regular. Which one do you like best?

I also did some fun stamping on the inside but I'll save that for the video. Click the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and don't forget to like and subscribe! I really appreciate it!

Deer Friend - Holiday Card Series #11

Hi friends! Today I'm excited to bring you Day 11 in my Holiday Card Series, and this one is a bonus, because it's not just one card, or even two. It's FOUR cards, each unique, but using the exact same supplies, including this sweet  Nice List stamp set by Craftin' Desert Divas.

I colored these adorable reindeer to match the patterned paper in A Perfect Christmas 6x6 by Echo Park. Then I die cut my papers using MFT's Wonky Stitched Rectangles, and Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Banner Duo. I trimmed out my focal panels with MFT's Wonky Stitched Circles and popped them over top with foam tape.

Last but not least, I finished things off by adding a few dots of Duck Egg Blue Nuvo Drops to resemble falling snow. They're such a pretty pale blue, and I think they add a subtle touch of dimension and color against the white background.

Get Yeti - Holiday Card Series #10

Hey friends, happy Friday! Today I'm happy to bring you Day 10 of my 2017 Holiday Card Series, featuring the adorable Get Yeti stamp set by Neat & Tangled.

I wanted to create a scene card using my Koi Sketchbook Watercolors. I started by painting my background, then flicking on some Copic Opaque White for snow. Then I watercolored all my images and cut them out with the matching dies.

For my scene, I trimmed down the panel and added two snowbanks with the Wplus9 Landscape Borders and added all my elements. I mounted it on a card base made from Blue Jay cardstock from Lawn Fawn

To finish up, I sprinkled a few Studio Katia Snow Crystals and Iridescent Crystals and adhered them down with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside with Blue Jay ink, but I'll save that for the video. ;) To watch the whole process, click on the YouTube icon at the bottom right corner and don't forget to like and subscribe! It really helps me out!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #18 + Holiday Card Series #9

Hey friends, happy Monday! And welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #18! This round is all about emboss resist, which is a super fun technique. For my card, I just had to use the brand-new exclusive One in a Chameleon Black Friday exclusive freebie. Isn't he the cutest? I paired him with a few accessories from Baaah Humbug to help him get in the festive mood. ;)

For the emboss resist, I heat embossed the falling snow from Snow Cool, then sponged on Distress Ink to create a night sky. I framed that up by cutting a window out of Perfectly Plaid Winter papers using the Stitched Circle Stackables and Stitched Rectangle Stackables. For my sentiment, I used a banner from Bannertastic with a Cozy Christmas greeting.

To finish things off I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Snowflake Sequins, a bit of Crystal Stckles and a few dabs of Glossy Accents. I also did some fun stamping on the inside, but I'll save that for the video.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #17 + Holiday Card Series #7

Hey friends, happy Monday! Welcome to Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #17. Today we've got a lovely color inspiration for you. For my card I used the sweet Christmas Dreams and made a little scene featuring my own dog, Zadie!

I colored my images with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies, and layered them over my patterned paper to create my dreamy holiday scene. To add a bit of glitz and glimmer, I dabbed some Crystal Stickles here and there across the card front.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside, but I'll save that for the video. ;) This card is also Day 7 in my 2017 Holiday Card Series! Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD, and don't forget to show your support by liking and subscribing!

Christmas Bear - Holiday Card Series #6

Hey friends, today I'm happy to bring you Day 6 of my 2017 Holiday Card Series! Today I'm using this sweet Christmas Bear from Reverse Confetti. Isn't he just the cutest? I watercolored him with my Zigs and layered him up with some foam tape over Photoplay Mad 4 Plaid Christmas paper. This was a new company to me, but I totally love it! And I die cut them with the Mama Elephant Peek A Frames. To finish things off, I added a few Studio Calico snowflake and star wood veneers that I had in my stash.

I also did some stamping on the inside, but I'll save that for the video. Click on the YouTube icon to watch the video over there in HD and don't forget to like and subscribe! Your support truly means the world. Have an amazing day!

Hey friends! Today I'm so excited to be bringing you my card for Fawny Holiday Week over at Lawn Fawn! I created an Aurora Borealis background with Distress Inks to set the stage for my Snow Cool Penguins to live and play.

I watercolored them with Zigs, cut them out with the matching dies,  and popped them up with foam tape over some Stitched Hillside Borders. I brought in a sentiment from Snowy Backdrops and finished off the card with some iridescent crystals.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside with Winter Penguin, but I'll save that for the video. Click on the YouTube icon at the bottom right to watch there in HD, and don't forget to subscribe!

Lawn Fawnatics Chalenge #16 and 2017 Holiday Card Series #3

Hello crafty friends! It's time for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #16 which is a fun one! It's all about using your oldest Lawn Fawn set. I have been in love with Lawn Fawn since the very beginning, so my oldest set is the timeless Critters in the 'Burbs, which just happens to include my favorite image of all time, the squirrel! Lawn Fawn has lots of cute squirrels in various sets, but these originals hold my heart the tightest! I decided to focus today's card on them. I colored all my images with Copic markers, including two accessories from Cheery Christmas.

I wanted to make a shaker card, so I die cut a window with the Stitched Circle Stackables and inlaid the Birch Trees, then filled it with sequins and Chunky Glitter. I popped up the front panel with two layers of foam tape, adhered a Stitched Hillside Border and added my images over top. For my sentiment, I added a Scripty Joy.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside but I will save that for the video, as this is also day 3 of my 2017 Holiday Card Series! Click on the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and please don't forget to like and subscribe!

2017 Holiday Card Series #2

Hey friends! I'm off to a late start today, but here at last with Day #2 of my 2017 Holiday Card Series! Today I'm featuring one of the adorable little pups from MFT's Happy Pawlidays. I colored her with Copics to look like my dad and step-mom's Westie, Angel. Such a cutie!

I die-cut a focal panel with the MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX and sponged on Distress Inks to make it look like a room. Then I completed my scene by layering my images over top with either liquid glue or foam tape.

My coloring was inspired by the gorgeous Oh What Fun 6x6 by My Mind's Eye. I layered my papers over my card base and popped my focal panel over top, finishing off with a few touches of the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen. Gotta have glitter at Christmas!

I also did some fun stamping on the inside of the card, but I'll save that for the video. ;) Click the YouTube icon to watch it there in HD and please don't forget to like and subscribe!

Dashing Deer Guest Design with MFT

Hey friends! I am beyond thrilled and honored to be guest designing today with My Favorite Things! I used the new Dashing Deer stamp set to create a Spotlight Shaker Scene, which is basically a mini scene within a shaker that is incorporated into a larger scene extending over the entire card front.

The shaker was created with the Snow Globe Die-namics and matching Dome Shaker Pouches over a background using the Drifts and Hills Stencil -- so versatile! I also pulled in a few trees from Beary Big Adventure to complete the scene. I did some fun stamping on the inside as well.

I hope you enjoy the video! Subscribe to the My Favorite Things YouTube Channel for more incredible videos featuring their amazing products. And if you could, I'd love for you to leave me a comment on this video. I promise to read them all!

Thanksgiving Favor - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #15

Hey friends! Happy Monday! It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and this time we're all about clever gift packaging! I decided to create a little treat box that would make perfect little favors for your Thanksgiving table. You could even personalize them, if you like, and use them as place cards.

I created my box with the Milk Carton die, then added a Grassy Border to the bottom and peopled it with critters and food from Forest Feast and Cheery Christmas. I popped in a few trees from Stitched Tree Borders to complete the scene.

I topped it off with a Tiny Tag and a sentiment from Tiny Tags Sayings tied on with a bit of Spooky Lawn Trimmings. You can check out how the whole box came together in the video below.

Teddy Bear Picnic - Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #14

Hey friends! I'm super excited to bring you my card for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #14. Our theme is happy little critters, and tell me, what could possibly be happier than a teddy bear picnic? I've had this idea in my head for a really long time (YEARS!) but I've just been waiting for the right images that would bring my idea together. As soon as I saw the latest Lawn Fawn release, I knew I could make it happen!

On this card, I combined the tree stump table from Forst Feast, the bears from Beary Happy Holidays and For You, Deer, plus lots of picnic-y elements from Happy Harvest and Bicycle Built for You. My sky was die-cut with a Stitched Rectangle Stackables and I added a Grassy Border and created bushes by flipping the Puffy Cloud Borders upside down. I brought in a sentiment from Dad + Me stamped in Chili Pepper ink, die cut with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. And as a finishing touch, I dabbed on a bit of Crystal Stickles Glitter Glue.

I also did some fun stamping on the inside with Doe ink, but I'll save that for the video. Click on the YouTube icon at the bottom right to watch it there in HD, and please don't forget to show your support by clicking the thumbs up button and subscribing to my channel. It means so much!
