Life is a Faerietale

Good morning, ladies!
Today I'm here with yet another brand-new release from Crafter's Companion!
The line is called Faerie Poppets and features the realistic designs
of talented artist Christine Haworth.
Faerie Poppets contains 8 EZ Mount stamp sets
with beautiful faerie images and multiple coordinating sentiments.

For my card I chose the Sweetest Moments set.
The little faerie girl focused so intently on her flowers
just melted my heart.

I colored my image with Spectrum Noirs
and dabbed a bit of stickles at the edges of their wings
and in the flower centers to add a bit of sparkle.
In real life, it look so pretty when it catches the light.

I colored a little field of flowers for them to sit in,
then cut my image out using a Spellbinders die
and mounted it on my card front using foam adhesive.
The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection.

A little May Arts ribbon and some bling and my card was done!

I hope you like it!
And I hope you'll check out this stamp and all the others in
the Faerie Poppet line at Crafter's Companion.

Have a great day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #56

Hello everyone!

We are being generously sponsored by the lovely Lawn Fawn,
who has offered up a free stamp set to our winner!
Thanks, Lawn Fawn!

I drew my inspiration from this Michael Miller fabric
I found on Pinterest.

I loved the pink background, the fun color palette,
and of course, the sweet giraffes.

Here's my card:

I used Critters On The Savanna, some selective stamping
as well as the clouds from Bon Voyage.

The gorgeous pink paper is from Daphne's Closet
and the green and yellow papers from Pink Lemonade.

I hope you like it!

Please stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
and check out the other amazing DT projects,
as well as the deets on how to play along.
We can't wait to see your inspired-by projects!

Have a great day!

Self-Propelled Flowers

Good morning, everyone!
Aren't you happy that it's Friday? I know I am.
So much has been going on lately that I feel like
I just can't quite catch up with all that needs done.
All I can do is keep plugging away I guess! :)

Anyway, I did want to share a card that I made
using the fabulous Sheena Douglass "Flying Colors" stamp set
from her A Little Bit Scenic line.
Isn't that sentiment great?

and sprayed it with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Amethyst.
Once that dried I stamped my sentiment and various sized butterflies.
I adhered some washi tape to my card base and popped
my focal panel up with foam dimensionals.

The shine is awesome in real life.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for popping in!

Lawn Fawn Blog Feature

Hey all!
Today I have the incredible honor of being featured
over at the Lawn Fawn blog - YAY!

Here's a little sneak peek of the card I made.

I've been really wanted to start an art journal lately,
but I wasn't sure if my first try at a page would be "enough"
for such an awesome feature, so I decided to make my focal panel
look as if it were torn out of an art journal and used on a card.

I'm easing my way into it. ;)

I hope you'll hop over there and take a look!
HUGE thanks to Lawn Fawn for inviting me over. :)

Have a great day!

Watercolor Daisies

Good morning, all!
Today I wanted to pop in and wish a very talented lady happy birthday!
Sheena Douglass is a wonderful artist whose designs you've
already seen on multiple occasions on my blog,
because she is the artist behind a whole range of stamps

Today I've made her a birthday card featuring one of my favorites --
I love the hand-drawn look!

I've watercolored my image and sentiment with Distress markers.

I hope you like it. :)

Happy Birthday, Sheena!
I hope this next year is one of great adventure and self-fulfillment.

Have a great day!

Frou Frou Release

Hi there!
I'm here today with another fabulous new release from Crafter's Companion.
And when I say fabulous, I do mean fabulous!
Frou Frou is the latest line to hit our virtual shelves.
It consists of 8 EZ Mount stamp sets featuring beautiful women
stepping out with their girlfriends, serving martinis,
or unburdening their heart on the pages of their latest novel.

Oh, you KNOW which set I chose to feature, don't you? ;)
I've been pinching my pennies all year, saving up for
my writers conference in May.
CAN. NOT. WAIT!

Here's my card:

I gave this fabulous writer-girl a two-toned dress
using my Spectrum Noir pens
with an ombre effect to her gauzy ruffles.
Papers from AC Soho Garden just seemed appropos.

I hope you like her!

Check out all her sisters at the Crafter's Companion store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. :)

Simon Says Stamp

Here's my card:

I think it's pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. ;)
and borrowed the heart from Bee Mine.
I paired it with papers from American Crafts Soho Gardens 6x6 pad
and printed my custom sentiment on my computer.

I hope you like it!

Please stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog
and check out the other amazing design team projects
and take a look at the details on how to play along.
